Suicidal Feelings

What is suicide?

Suicide, by definition, is ‘the act of intentionally taking one’s own life’.

Suicide is experienced differently by different people. Usually, it presents as someone wanting to end their life, and often people feeling as though they have nothing to live for, or thinking people would be better off without them.

If these feelings are arising within you, you may feel frightened, confused and overwhelmed; but remember you are not alone – most people at some point in their life have felt these feelings, but never expressed them.

“I was having suicidal thoughts and was literally struggling to get out of bed, let alone play in front of millions. I was lonely, depressed, negative, abusing alcohol, drugs, pushed away family and friends. I felt as if I couldn’t talk to or trust anyone.”
